I usually begin a game similar to Blackthorn Castle and never complete the quest because the flow of the game gets frustrating. This game allows for some free lance activity and also provides very useful hints which will result in you learning your way around the castle area in search of clues. I will be looking for more Lone Wolf Games.

The game developers are on to something here with this great combination of story, map, puzzles, and subtle hints for when you get stuck. Absolutely love the camera feature...very creative solution to the challenge of trying to retain clue information. Well done, Lone Wolves!

Excellent graphics, challenging (but not pull-your-hair-out) puzzles and soothing background music = a fine way to spend a rainy afternoon. I especially appreciated the "no violence". Great work Lone Wolf Games!

This game is as good as any bigfish game or better. You wont be disappointed. The graphics are amazing and the puzzles arent too difficult to figure out. Best game that I have ever downloaded.

Loved it. It was a bit long, taking me about 2 hours to beat, but I loved every minute of it. The game was challenging, but not so hard that it was impossible to beat or that a walkthrough was necessary. Please keep up the good work!!!

We managed to pick this up for free, so I thought why not try it. Very well made puzzle game. No crashes or dead ends, and the built-in hints saved me a few times. Just the right level of difficulty, and a decent length. Thanks!

Im not a fan of hidden object games, and its a disappointment that you can no longer search for adventure games in the App Store without getting a lot of hidden object games and games with adventure themes. Blackthorn Castle is a well-made old school classic point and click adventure game that Id recommend to fans of The Room and the Myst games, as well as the variety of escape-the-area puzzles that have been around for the past decade or so. Its attractively done, and for the most part, its interface just "works." My only quibble is that the maze is difficult without directions turned on, because its otherwise hard to tell whether youre coming or going. If you like this kind of game and you happen to be looking when this one isnt free, dont worry: its worth the full price.

As far as an adventure game goes, this is an outstanding addition to the App Store repertoire. However, I continue to be amazed at the level of overtly religious content in these games: notably paganism, witchcraft, and satanic sigils. Cant game designers make non-religious adventure games any longer? I am disturbed by the symbolism and Wiccan influences in this otherwise excellent game.

Not really difficult, but enough scenes, items, and puzzles to entertain for quite some time.

Just picked this up and loved it. For a free game, this is a real bargain: lengthy and with excellent (but static) graphics, intriguing but not insanely hard or weird puzzles and atmospheric sound. I played it every spare minute over four days and was never bored. If youre looking for high-budget, full-motion point-and-click game with a serious story, this isnt for you but otherwise its a superb puzzler.
